Tempoorary Avalon Library During Renovations
The Avalon Library was temporarily closed for renovations on December 31, 2018. A temporary Avalon Express Library at 210 Metropoole Avenue was opened on January 8, 2019. The temporary library is closed on Sundays and Mondays but open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (except closed from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. for lunch).

2019 Library Renovation Project Description
Remodeling the library's approximately 1500 square feet of space, including installing windows to provide views and more natural light, removal of a dropped ceiling to gain interior volume, and replacing or refurbishing the library's flooring, lighting, doors, shelves, electricity, fixtures, furniture, and finishes. Also includes alterations necessary to comply with the American's With Disabilities Act.
